Josh Smith to Remain with Atlanta Hawks as Trade Deadline Passes
Despite persistent trade rumors, Josh Smith will remain with the Atlanta Hawks.
The NBA trade deadline passed today at 3pm, and with no trade of Smith, the Atlanta-native and former All-Star will stay with the team until at least the end of the regular season, when he will become an unrestricted free agent.
While the Hawks kept J Smoove, they did trade guard Anthony Morrow to Dallas for Dahntay Jones.
The Hawks tweeted this:
Official #ATLHawks fans – Josh Smith is still a Hawk! Thoughts?

ESPN sent out this tweet:
The Hawks decided they valued Josh Smith too much to trade compared to what they were offered, sources said.
