Teyana Taylor & Fabolous Collab With Packer Shoes x Ewing Athletics.

Two well known celebrity sneaker heads Teyana Taylor and Fabolous are about to set the sneaker world on fire this week. The two music artist will be dropping their Packer Shoes x Ewing Athletics collaboration this Thursday. We take a detail look at today’s  FLY kicks of the day  The Ewing 33 Hi “Aloysius” Fame & War Project. 

Starting at 10 AM,Thursday, March 26th, folks can line up at the world famous S.O.B’s night club in hopes to secure a wristband. The wristband ensures you can land yourself a pair of the very limited shoes or if you got the coins both pairs. Packer Shoes reached out to the two artist whom they felt embodied the “OG” spirit of the Golden Era of New York City and who are on a mission to restore the feeling. Teyana is no stranger to having her own sneaker, she had a limited edition Adidas sneaker which successfully flew off the shelves upon release. There was supposed to be a second sneaker with Adidas, but due to a nasty beef with Rihanna Adidas decided to scrap the shoe. That’s old news now as she gets a second chance at greatness alongside fellow New Yorker Fabolous.

The black/”OG” edition of the “Aloysius” 33 High by Packer Shoes & Fabolous was designed to serve as a medal of honor for all of the bravery Patrick has displayed on the court and his formidable defense. Constructed using the highest quality luxurious full grain leather hides ever used by the factory, the main design cue comes in the form of custom “Ewing Defence Regiment” crest logo on the tongue which is a direct reference from the Jamaica Defence Force – the combined military force of Patrick’s native land. Staying true to it’s inspiration, the logo contains the original British variant spelling of “defense” with a “c” which correlates to Jamaica’s origins as a British colony.

Flipping the script slightly, the right shoe features contrasting white custom stitched “Packer Shoes” branding in the original Ewing signature font, while the classic “Patrick Ewing” signature remains on the left foot.

Additional features include a custom fine woven Chinese Red and Ponderosa Pine Green ankle strap which references the ribbon of the JDF ‘Medal of Honour & Gallantry’. These color accents are continued on the gold tipped shoe laces (alternate white with gold tip laces are provided for customization). Gold accents also adorn the redesigned satin inner lining and the custom metal plated ankle strap buckle and custom “NYC” & “33” ankle plates which represent Patrick’s retired number 33 as member of the Knicks and the city which he represented to the fullest. Hidden inside are custom “Empire State” sublimated insoles which represent the spirit and ‘soul’ of being a true New York icon. Balancing out the design we implemented a stark white outsole with Chinese Red coated midsole for contrast with the classic gum rubber ‘Ewing” basketball on the bottom of the outsole.

Each pair of the black/OG “Aloysius” 33 High come packaged in a custom made black shoebox featuring the “Ewing Defence Regiment” and “Packer Shoes” Ewing-script logo with “OG” medal of honor ribbon printed wrapping paper. Printed on the underside of the top box lid we find the official presentation of this medal of honor to “Center Patrick Aloysius Ewing – Proudly Served”. Adding a final “style code” to the design details, are the “718” custom color coding for this particular pair which serves as an ode to Fabolous hometown of Brooklyn, NY which him and “The Family” defend to the fullest.

The gold/black “Aloysius” 33 High by Packer Shoes & Teyana Taylor celebrates the “fame” of being an professional athlete and all the success attraction that came with being under the bright lights of the Empire State during the golden era of the 1990’s when the 33 High was reigned supreme on the streets and courts of NYC. Also constructed using the highest quality luxurious full grain leather hides ever used by the factory, the entire upper features a metallic gold treatment. The main design cue comes in the form of custom “Ewing Empire” logo on the tongue which signifies the iconic status held by Patrick in NYC.

As with the black/OG pair, the right shoe of the gold/black “Aloysisus” 33 High features metallic gold custom stitched “Packer Shoes” branding in the original Ewing signature font, while the classic “Patrick Ewing” signature remains on the left foot.

Additional features include a custom metallic gold fine woven ankle strap and metallic gold with gold tipped shoe laces (alternate black with gold tip laces are provided for customization). Black accents also adorn the redesigned satin inner lining. Custom metal plated ankle strap buckle and custom “NYC” & “33” ankle plates which represent Patrick’s retired number 33 as member of the Knicks and the city which he represented to the fullest. Hidden inside are custom “Empire State” sublimated insoles which represent the spirit and ‘soul’ of being a true New York icon. Adding even more flair to the look, we implemented a clear gum with metallic gold dust speckled outsole with contrasting black midsole. The classic gum rubber ‘Ewing” basketball on the bottom of the outsole also receives a clear gum revamping.

Each pair of the gold/black “Aloysius” 33 High come packaged in a custom made black shoebox featuring a hi-res sublimation of  the foyer of the Empire State Building with the Teyana VII inspired “NY 2015: The Year of Completion” quote and symbolic “Fame” printed wrapping paper.  Adding her own “style code” to the design details, are the “212” custom color coding for this particular pair which serves as an ode to Teyana’s area code for her hometown of Harlem, USA which she always represents to the fullest.
