Travis Scott had a major moment as he debuted his highly anticipated track “4×4” during the halftime show of the College Football Playoff National Championship.
The game, broadcast live on Monday, January 20, featured a matchup between Notre Dame and Ohio State at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Ohio State took home the victory, 34-23.
Scott’s performance marked the first time “4×4” was heard in its entirety, though the song has been teased by the rapper in recent months.
Back in November, Scott announced he was crafting a theme song for WWE’s Monday Night Raw. On January 6, ahead of the show’s first 2025 broadcast, Scott previewed a snippet of “4×4” during an Instagram Live session, building anticipation among his fans.

In addition to his musical ventures, Scott has been making headlines with his recent purchase of a custom $160,000 Hemi Hellcat V8 Horsepower Apocalypse Omega-Rex pickup truck. According to TMZ, the truck, a limited edition from SoFlo Customs, is said to be the last one available. The rapper’s new ride is being dubbed the “ultimate pickup.”
Despite his growing list of successes, Scott is also facing legal challenges. On January 8, Victory Boyd, a Roc Nation artist, filed a lawsuit in federal court against Scott, SZA, Future, and other songwriters credited on their hit “Telekinesis.”
Boyd alleges that the track borrows heavily from her 2019 song “Like The Way It Sounds.” Boyd claims that Kanye West played her song for Scott, who then shared it with Future and SZA, ultimately leading to the creation of “Telekinesis.” She specifically points to the hook of the song, which she argues is “directly copied” from her own track.
Boyd’s lawsuit also names luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet, accusing them of using “Telekinesis” in an advertisement despite her explicit refusal to grant permission.
Adding fuel to the fire, Boyd points out that she was listed as a composer for the song on Spotify and was recently offered an eight percent stake, suggesting there may have been some miscommunication or mismanagement in how the song credits were handled.
