Cardi B and blogger Tasha K have finally come to terms with a bankruptcy settlement payment plan.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the blogger, born Latasha Kebe, will pay Cardi nearly $1.2 million in monthly installments under the Chapter 11 reorganization plan. Cardi was initially awarded $4 million following a highly-publicized defamation lawsuit against Tasha K.

Tasha’s payments will start at $176,532 in the first year and will increase over time. By the fifth year, payment is set to be $318,653 over 12 months. Tasha also agrees to not make any “derogatory, disparaging, or defamatory” comments about Cardi or her family.

On Cardi’s end, she retains the right to pursue the rest of the initial award after five years, allowing her to garnish Tasha’s wages again.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Cardi’s attorney, Lisa Moore, expressed her client’s excitement over the resolution.

“Today marks the end of a multi-year long chapter of lies, deception, and fraudulent conveyance on the part of Tasha K, her husband, and their entities.

“We are thrilled to put in place such an incredibly unprecedented and protective plan for Cardi. I assume you will see the debtor and her swill counsel selling this as a win. Trust me, for all of the reasons in the plan we insisted on to protect our client, that is not the case. We don’t believe the false tears, and we protect against them.”

Cardi sued Tasha K in 2019 for comments made on her Unwine With Tasha K YouTube channel, falsely accusing the Invasion of Privacy rapper of being a prostitute, using drugs, and having an STD. Cardi’s legal team also accused Tasha of hiding her assets during bankruptcy proceedings.

The repayment plan hinges on Tasha’s future earnings, including income from her husband Cheick Kebe’s company, Yelen Entertainment.
