New York has been hit the hardest by the COVID-19 crisis. Currently, there have been over 159,000 confirmed cases and over 7,000 deaths. There have been over 13,000 recoveries but the state has still been devastated by the pandemic. Due to this, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is pushing for New York City schools to be closed for the rest of the school year.
